The Club was formed in 1951 as Batman FC and came to recognise the local community through a name change in 1981 to the Coburg Districts Football Club.
The Club celebrated its 30th Year with a reunion on Saturday 3rd July 2010 and attached is an updated History of the Club.
Between 1981-1987 the Club Seniors played in the EDFL, from 1988-2012 the Club was affiliated with the FDFL/WRFL and from season 2013 the Club was re-affiliated to the Essendon District Football League.

1988 was the Club's inaugural year in the Footscray Districts Football League (FDFL), later to be renamed the Western Region Football League (WRFL).
Ironically in that year Coburg Districts and another former EDFL club, Ascot Vale, played off in the Grand Final after going through the home and away season undefeated Districts lost their first finals game before bouncing back and recording the Club’s first Senior flag under Coach Kevin Morrison.
Coburg Districts Football Club provides senior teams for the purpose of competition within the Essendon District Football League as a united, family, community orientated group of people.
The Club prides itself on loyality, character and is committed to the succesful development of the club to achieve social and financial success on and off the field.
